Care - Getting Married?
Congratulations on your decision to get married! We are thrilled to celebrate this exciting season of life with you and are honored that you would consider LifePoint Church to be a part of your special day. We are honored to support those who take the next steps in their journey to become Husband and Wife. To help make your wedding planning smooth and meaningful, here are a few next steps for having a LifePoint pastor or leader officiate your ceremony:
- One of the individuals must actively attend LifePoint Church.
- The couple must attend premarital counseling before the wedding unless otherwise stated by a pastor or leader. The premarital counseling includes four to five enriching sessions, designed to prepare you for a strong and lasting marriage. We use the SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts) assessment. This assessment will guide our Pastors and Leaders in your premarital counseling sessions. There is a one-time fee of $35 per couple that is paid to the SYMBIS company.
- A recommended honorarium of $300 (plus any travel expenses) is kindly requested for the pastor or leader officiating your wedding, payable by cash or check on the day of the wedding.
- For an intimate ceremony at our Rossview campus, you may choose between our lobby or patio area. We kindly recommend keeping your guest list small (no more than 10 people) to maintain a personal atmosphere, and for no outside food or decorations to be used.
